Workers' Compensation Information

The Workers’ Compensation Board came out with new guidelines starting December 1st, 2010 for injuries to the back, neck, shoulder and knee. If you are a new case we will be able to treat you for a maximum for 8 weeks on land and 4 weeks in the water. After which a MG2/Variance request form will be to be sent from your Referring doctor to the Workers’ Compensation carrier to approve more visits. Older cases will often need a MG2/Variance request sent before returning to physical therapy.

Any patients needing physical therapy for diagnosis other back, neck, shoulder and knee will be using the old guidelines of no authorization needed for the first $1,000 of care.

Please feel free to check the Workers’ Compensation FAQ pager for more information or call our office. 585.425.1018
