Acupuncture is an ancient medical system used to diagnose, treat and prevent disease, and restore balance to the body by moving blood and Qi. Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into various parts of the body to harmonize the mind, body and spirit to treat or prevent illness.
Fern Legters is a licensed acupuncturist and oriental medicine herbalist who treats patients of all ages and conditions ranging from acute to chronic. She obtained her bachelor;s in nursing in 1989 and practiced in telemetry, homecare and geriatric nursing for 12 years. She completed her Masters of Science and Oriental Medicine at the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seneca Falls.Â
Fern is trained in assessment, diagnosis and treatment utilizing traditional Chinese medicine. This treatment encompasses acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, tui na and oriental herbal medicine. Her clinical experiences include treatment of all ages for a wide variety of pain conditions, fertility support, management of hypertension, cancer treatment symptoms, trauma/sports conditions and symptomatic treatment for various chronic diseases.Â
